Lino started his career at Neville Daniel in the early 80's, serving his apprenticeship
under Daniel Hersheson and Neville Tucker. He then went on to open his own salon GERALDLINO with his business
partner,Gerald Monaghan in Blandford Street, Marylebone. In the years of salon ownership he forged a liaison with
the iconic 80's pop management team of Stock Aitken & Waterman. Through the record company he began to
build a name in the music, television and fashion industries working with Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan.
More recently he has worked with the Osbournes and has won Most Wanted Cut & Blow Dry on an internet
poll and ‘Head of the Year' for Philip Schofield's cut in 2003.He also had his own weekly column in the Sun newspaper, a monthly column in the easy jet magazineand has written for candis, a medical magazine, where he gives hairdressing tips and advice.
Lino is a very well known in the Television, Film, Theatre and Music industry as a celebrity hair stylist, who designs creates and cuts hair. As a "Showbiz" stylist, Lino's renowned skills of celebrity hair cutting and styling are recognised throughout the world. He creates hair makeovers, hair styles and is a respected magazine stylist and a session hairdresser. Lino's Celebrity hair cutting and Celeb styling is recognized throughout the World.
Lino was Style Director for "The X Factor", taking charge of the contestants who appeared in Series 1-3. Lino was also the global spokesman for Avon International representing the hair care range and has also been the Style Director for Brylcreem and Laross Hair Extensions. He also works regularly with Hilary Alexander in "The Telegraph" on her monthly makeover page.
Lino was also part of the “Celebrate” campaign for Celebrations chocolate, where he was in the panel of experts along with Charles Metcalfe, Lawrence Lewelyn Bowen, Ross Burden and Caryn Franklin.
Many of his professional associations have led to personal friendships and consequently he has been involved with charity events including the Celebrity Soccer Six, playing for the Ant & Dec team and in 2006 he represented his country Italy, in the Celebrity Soccer Six World Cup where his team, managed by Aldo Zilli and team mates Joe Calzaghe and Kasabian walked away with the cup.
He ran the 2005 London Marathon for the Oasis Trust were he raised £25,000 for the charity.
Lino has also appeared in the Jason Donovan videos for the hit singles for ‘Any Dream will do’, ‘Go,Go,Go Joseph’ and ‘When you come back to me’.
